Research shows that children spend less time outdoors despite the proven benefit of outdoor play on a child’s learning and development. As an advocate for early childhood, Green Space Learning believes that everyone deserves a childhood rich in play, nature, and beauty supported by intentional and sustainable environments that inspire the spirit of play and connect children to nature.
In collaboration with Child Care Group, a Head Start and Early Head Start programming provider for children ages birth to 5 years old, we designed a STEM-focused outdoor learning environment at The Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center. This historic complex in Dallas, Texas has been providing social services to the community for 60 years.
It was exciting to attend the groundbreaking event and we look forward to completing the project in early 2025.
