Director of Early Childhood Center
Green Space Learning is hiring a Director for our Early Childhood Center for ages 6 weeks to 35 months. Our program focuses on respect, connection, and authenticity for babies and young children. Green Space Learning aims to empower educators and families by setting the bar high for equitable early childhood experiences through professional development, natural playgrounds, consulting and advocacy. We are looking for a passionate individual to lead this unique nature-based program.
Schedule: Center hours Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Job Description:
The director supervises all teachers and staff, communicates with parents for student enrollment, and is responsible for maintaining the facility. The director supports a culture of respect towards teachers and children through positive leadership. Duties are detailed below and are essential to the operation of the Early Childhood Center.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Be knowledgeable about minimum standards and maintaining compliance.
- Hire and create schedules for teachers
- Responsible for budget and ordering
- Supporting teachers to implement emergent curriculum.
- Organize enrollment and student records
- Communicate with parents regularly and professionally
- Responsible for facility maintenance schedule
- Assist in keeping the center clean and organized.
- Must maintain a current CPR and First Aid certification
- Provide necessary paperwork and documentation required by minimum standards.
Pay:Β $45,000-55,000 annual salary
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Director Qualified
- 3-5 years of experience in early childhood education or related field is preferred
- Comfortable working outdoors
- Detail and service oriented; passionate about inquiry and play based learning, nature play and working with young children
- Must demonstrate an understanding of human behavior and have expressive and receptive language abilities
- Possess a special ability to maintain positive relationships with children, co-workers and parents
- Ability to work with infants and toddlers warmly, calmly and in an unhurried way
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
Early Childhood Center staff work in both the indoor and outdoor spaces year-round, in all types of weather. Reliable transportation is required. Timely arrival and dependability are crucial to success in this position. Our school is open weekdays Monday-Friday. Occasional Saturdays may be required for professional development days. May be asked to work special events or tasks on occasion.
Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds. Must be able to sit on the floor to work with children.
Infant / Toddler Teacher Internship
A unique opportunity to work with children while earning your CDA!
This is a paid internship program. As a Green Space Infant/Toddler Teacher Intern, you will earn your Infant/Toddler CDA while gaining valuable experience with children ages 0-2. Green Space provides the 120 hourΒ CDA courseΒ in order to quality for the Infant/Toddler CDA, and provides coaching and development to prepare you to become an Infant/Toddler Teacher.Β Β Β

Job Description:
The Early Childhood Center Teacher performs many of the daily tasks that keep the program safe, clean, and inviting for children. The teacher is friendly, team oriented, respectful and finds joy in connecting with children and families. This job is a full or part time hourly position. Duties are detailed below and are essential to the operation of the Early Childhood Center.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Be knowledgeable about minimum standards, assist with maintaining compliance.
- Perform opening and closing duties.
- Implementing emergent curriculum.
- Assists in keeping records of childrenβs development, attendance, and daily reports.
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly cleaning & sanitizing tasks.
- Assist in keeping the center clean and organized.
- Asked to work on special tasks or projects from time to time.
- Must obtain a minimum of 24 hours of continuing professional development annually, provided through Green Space Learning Professional Development
- Must maintain a current CPR and First Aid certification
- Provide necessary paperwork and documentation required by minimum standards.
Pay: $14-$17/hour
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Detail and service oriented; passionate about inquiry and play based learning, nature play and working with young children.
- Desire to earn CDA credential
- Must complete online CDA class and receive credential within 8 months of employment.
- Ability to read a textbook, create a professional portfolio, and participate in a Child Development Associate Credentialing Class
- Must demonstrate an understanding of human behavior and have expressive and receptive language abilities.
- Possess a special ability to maintain positive relationships with children, co-workers and parents.
- Ability to work with infants and toddlers warmly, calmly and in an unhurried way.

The program takes place from 2:00-6:00 pm on Monday-Friday. We are hiring passionate individuals who have experience working with children and enjoy creating a space for them to be enjoy childhood.
