We are dedicated to designing and building amazing natural playgrounds. We combine landscape architecture, custom design, engineering, carpentry, and project management to bring your brilliant playground concepts to life.
Our Outlook on Play(grounds)
Playgrounds are places where children thrive; where imaginations run wild; where bodies and brains are engaged.
They are places of stimulation, socialization, excitement, joy and wonder. They are spaces that build community.
Our aim is to engage and delight each child, offering the highest play value possible. With each project, we listen to, learn from, and observe the children for whom we create.
Four primary considerations are given to each of our playground projects:
Site Design
Our playground designs form meaningful, organic relationships between playground structures and their living, breathing surroundings adding a crucial element to the play experience. Our Natural Learning Initiative certified designers are truly some of the best in the business.
Nature Connections
With more people living in urban environments, many of today’s children are missing out on a connection to the natural world. The experience of nature has so many documented life-long benefits: improved physical & mental health, educational opportunities, and environmental awareness. We design sustainable playgrounds using natural materials that offer a stronger environmental connection.
Open-Ended Play & Risk
For children to develop mobility, strength, balance and coordination, they need opportunities that enable free movement. Our playgrounds offer open-ended play opportunities where they can climb, swing, hop, balance and learn to assess their own abilities and trust their own judgment.
Inclusive & Social Play
Sand pits, water pumps, balancing logs, and climbers nurture cooperative and social play where children interact, encourage and teach each other. Our playgrounds enable and empower kids of all abilities and ages to connect.
Our Design Process
1. Introduction & Inspiration
It all starts with a site visit. We get to know your space, your needs, and your unique vision. Our award-winning designers work alongside you to develop sketches and renderings for your custom natural playground.
2. Design Development
We specialize in renovating, renewing, and restoring outdoor play spaces, and can suggest natural elements to enhance your space. Or, we can build a custom playground from scratch complete with landscape architecture, and varied play structures. Drawings usually undergo revisions as more information becomes available to us, such as space available, budget, ages of the children, and your preferences. In this stage, we work with you to finalize all elements to your satisfaction.
3. Handcrafted Construction
We take your finalized designs and turn them into reality. 95% of all our play structures, both ready-made and custom, are constructed in our workshop here in Fort Worth, Texas. All of our products are made from sustainable, child-safe materials inspired by the natural world and constructed with safety as a top priority.
4. Final Design & Installation
We deliver your final designs in a digital format for your records, and then it’s time to build! Our expert team arrives on-site and begins installing the playground elements to your exact specifications. We can install playgrounds anywhere in Texas.
5. Time To Play!
Once your new nature playground is complete, it’s time for the children of your institution to make it their own and learn and play while thriving in the great outdoors!

Green Space Nature Playgrounds are handcrafted from the highest quality materials, exceeding safety standards and compliance regulations. 95% of all our builds are handcrafted by our award-winning team in our workshop. All of our pressure-treated pine play structures are pressure treated with only child safe and non-toxic materials. Alternatively, our Western Red Cedar play structures are naturally non-toxic and even bug-repellant.
